Debate Competition

The Annual Intra-Departmental Debate Competition is a 3-day event which will be held on the 28th, 29th and the 30th of September. This competition will be hosted by Christ University School of Business & Management Association(CUSBMA). Debates can be quite challenging as it requires critical thinking skills, listening skills and enhances the teamwork between the students. This competition can bring forth some persuasive arguments where students can display the unique talent which they possess.

The Debate competition will be conducted for all the students of the BBA department. The competitive spirit of the participants will light the fire of the competition where each student is given the opportunity to give their best arguments until a conclusion has been reached. Debating is very jovial place to meet other intellectual individuals, so what better platform then the Annual Intra-Departmental Debate Competition where wits and minds will clash.

This debate competition is brought to you by CUSBMA’S MUNing, Debating and Quizz club: ARTIBUS. This event aims to encourage the theme of being eco friendly and tune the skills of public speaking, negotiating. The clash of wits and intellectuals will happen on Friday, 30 September 2022 at 4.30 pm in the Auditorium, Central Block.

A debate is a structured argument. It is the foundation of the society we live in today. A means of understanding the different perspectives that others can have about the same topic and how those perspectives are made. Debate comprises opinions, views, arguments, and the solution. Debating helps in progress of an individual. It helps you to think critically and make decisions. It is a great opportunity for all of you to present your facts, logic, evidence, and emotions to win the battle of against or for. Participation in events like these is encouraged for all students because they promote problemsolving, critical thinking, and oral and written communication skills. The competition also provides an excellent opportunity for students from various years to get too know one another.
